This is a Be Prepared Camp for which
points are accumulated and the patrol with the most points winning the Annual
Trophy.Last year the “Girls” from
Drummond won this event.
For those of you new to the game we set
up numbered “stations” throughout the woods and send each patrol on their
way. They must follow the rotation as
outlined in their instructions and complete each activity to accumulate
points.This usually lasts until around
2:30am at which time all are sent off to bed.
After a good night’s rest we will
commence the day at around noon with activities starting at 1:30.
Each patrol is responsible for some sort
of entertainment for the campfire for which points can be added to the scores
from the night’s activities.

This is a Fun Challenge Camp for which points are
accumulated and the group with the most points will win the Annual Trophy.
This is the SWAMP MONSTER’s 43rd
Birthday so come out and help us celebrate. The Swamp Monster only comes out at dusk so be prepared for an evening
hike to his house.
cost for this event is $10.00 per youth
The Swamp Monster’s (Camp Traill’s only
permanent resident – only seen in the past by Cubs) birthday is November 1, so
make sure the Cubs make him a birthday cake (he likes acorns, nuts, leaves and
twigs and the odd bug)You can get the
Cubs to make the cake on Saturday sometime and then have a night hike up to his
house after dark.I have heard that he
likes birthday candles.I think he turns
43 this year.Take Slime Repellent just
in case he decides to hug you. Don’t
be worried – he rarely eats Cubs or Scouts – but he does like the tender meat
